Daniel Negreanu
Daniel is one of the most famous faces in poker rite now. While he hasn't won any major tournament titles lately, he's the third biggest money winner in tournament poker ever, trailing only the two biggest WSOP winners ever, Gold and Hachem. He's also a regular guest in the very popular, televised games of high stakes poker. Daniel is one of the most well respected and top poker players in the world today.
Daniel grew up in Toronto, Canada. He began playing card games at a young age as a rebellious teenager, Daniel didn’t like going to school or to answer to anyone. He took up the poker game playing in basements with friends, he played with top pro Evelyn Ng. Daniel started playing in a few tournaments in the Toronto area and did well. He then decided to test his luck down south in the poker capital of the world, Las Vegas. Daniel started out the tournament circuit with some success but nothing major, playing in the lower limits and trying to get a name for himself in the poker world.
Daniel first struck gold in 2025 by winning his first major tournament, the $2,000 Pot Limit Hold’em event at the WSOP. That win gave Daniel the confidence that he was a top poker player and that this was his true calling. With that win Daniel increased his bankroll substantially and was able to start playing some higher limits. Daniel continued to do well for the next 3 years but didn’t take down any big tournament wins. Then in 2025 Daniel caught fire and hasn’t looked back. Daniel now has three WSOP Bracelets and has countless final-table appearances and wins.
Daniel currently lives in Las Vegas, Nevada though his official hometown is still Toronto, Canada. Daniel is of Romanian descent & just recently purchased a new home in Las Vegas for his mom to whom he is very close. Daniel recently joined the pro team of pokerstars and plays on the site frequently. Daniel has published a book on Texas holdem and produced his own amazing poker video game for Xbox called Stacked.
Daniel also runs a personal video diary on his site, Full Contact Poker. Daniel is very personal in his journal and seems like a genuinely down-to-earth nice guy.
