Doyle dominates Wednesday poker tourney at Pedros

Doyle wins the first Belize poker tournament of March at Pedros Poker Room.  Pedro’s had a nice 6 handed tournament on Wednesday March 2.  House rules stipulate that with only 6 players, first place takes all, second place gets their money back plus $100. This format set the stage for a very aggressive tournament that saw more then its share of action.  Jason (J10) went out first to Peter (AK) when Peter spiked his “A” on the river.  Robbie and Steve were quick to join Jason in the losers lounge.  The bubble stage was set with Doyle, Scot, and Peter.  Doyle (AK) and Scot (AJ) butted heads when an “A” came on the flop.  Scot was unable to spike his “J” and was sent home packing on the bubble.  Doyle had an 8-1 chip lead heads up with Peter.  When Peter went all in with his straight draw, the poker gods did not shine down on him and Doyle’s pair of Aces stood tall.

Congratulations to Doyle and Peter for cashing in the aggressive short handed format tournament!!
